In 2008, the incorrect kidney was removed from a child at the hospital.[1] A fitness to practise inquiry began two years later with the mother of the boy, who now requires dialysis and a possible transplant, saying she had asked that the correct kidney be removed before surgery began.[2] Can I ask if this is actually relevant? I remember it happening, and it's terrible it happened, but how is one botched kidney removal noteworthy in a hospital that's been operating 54 years? 79.97.81.147 (talk) 18:58, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
