In book of Diogenes Laertius: Lives of Eminent Philosophers he write about Plato. There he tells: "Mithridates the Persian set up a statue of Plato in the Academy and inscribed upon these words: 'Mithridates, the son of Orontobates dedicated to the muses a likeness of Plato made by Silanion' " This Mthridates could probably be the son of that Orontobates who is mention at the war of Gaugamela year 331 Bc.

Editorial Intranasigence

[edit]

The last para of the article describes the work of Ranajit Pal, reference to whose work has been deleted by the wise editor who has forgotten to delete the lone reference to Pal. This is disgusting! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mejda (talkcontribs) 11:43, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"Disgusting" sentence removed. Hope this satisfies.--~ ~ : Lincoln Cooper : ~ ~ (talk) 02:39, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
