@Knightoftheswords281:, since you added two maintenance templates: Can you give me some advice what has to be improved in the article? With notability, I guess you suggest the page might no worth to be an independent article outside of the Battle of Breitenfeld (1642)? I see that the short summary of the battle at the start is possibly redundant because the main article now contains all the information. But the list of individual regiments and their positions is definitely too much detailed to be included there. I also still intend to add a section about the composition of the armies from different corps (e. g. the Swedish main army and Königsmarck's "flying column") and their movements prior to the battle.

Refering to sources: The main source is Guthrie because he integrated almost all available sources to the topic. Including contemporary battle reports, the Theatrum Europaeum and for the Imperial Army the chronicle from Wrede - but I've checked Wrede and added additional detail from him. For the Swedes, I added additional sources if I found them (like Murdoch & Grosjean for Scotish regiments). So, I don't exactly see point in adding more sources with the exception of the Swedish army (where they are difficult to find). Kind regards, Palastwache (talk) 11:46, 4 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I meant to only add the single source notice upon stumbling upon all of the other order of battle articles.

Upon further review, I think this article barely passes the required three source threshold, but I still think it's overly reliant on Wrede's sources at bits, especially considering he only has three works (unless its an amalgamation of sources). Thanks for the explanation! Wrede mostly confirms Guthrie, the only information solely from him are the regimental commanders. I can complement this with other chronicles of individual regiments or biographical sources but Wrede is unique in that he records every single regiment that ever served in the Imperial or Austrian army since 1618, with original documents from the Imperial War Archive.
