Reducing the purpose of open air schools to tuberculosis is another example of wikipedia contributors disappearing the history of persons with sensitivities, in this context often referred to as "delicate children". I have given up on this fight, as the wikipedia contributors who want to stamp out this history and invisibilize ongoing abuse are just too ruthless to bother with. For instance, consider the reminiscences of former pupils: http://www.formerchildrenshomes.org.uk/open_air_schools_memories.html
