Hi everyone! My plan for editing this article is as follows: 1. Update the citations/ensure each fact has a reliable citation following it 2. Add additional images to enhance understanding of the topic 3. Increase subheading content 4. Better organize “general risk factors” section
I am planning to focus mostly on increasing subheading content in the Maternal problems and fetal and placental problems sections. While in the General Risk Factors section, I am planning to mostly focus on organization. Throughout theses edits I will make sure that I link added content to respective wikipedia pages. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or feedback for my planned edits! Jsinghal (talk) 04:22, 4 March 2022 (UTC)
Hi Jsinghal! I just finished my peer review for your edits. I mostly used the main article (not your sandbox one). I made a few minor suggestions, but as always whether you use them is up to your discretion. Thanks for your patience! kbarnes peer review: This article is very well-organized! I do think that some of the sub-topics could be expanded on a bit (i.e.: placenta accreta). I also think it would be nice to expand on the impacts of maternal problems on the fetus, and vice versa, since this is mentioned at the beginning of the "Maternal problems" and "Fetal and Placental problems" sections. Great job adding citations and updating the stillbirth and vertically-transmitted infections sections! Kbarnes1 (talk) 04:03, 16 September 2022 (UTC)

[edit]I do not believe that this is accurate:
- | complications = Hemorrhaging, internal bleeding, coma, miscarriages, stillbirth, death for both the mother and the infant
AFAIK while I think hemorrhaging is one of (or perhaps the most) common causes of death, I think that internal bleeding is unusual. Same for coma. And, both stillbirth and miscarriage mean "death for both the mother and the infant" Sectionworker (talk) 20:02, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
- I'm surprised that no one will help me out here. My only way to fix it is to change it to something very broad and meaningless. Sectionworker (talk) 14:14, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- Could you clarify your question? What do you mean by the statement that both stillbirth and miscarriage mean "death for both the mother and infant"? FPMdoc (talk) 16:14, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
- That is a quote from the article, not my thinking. I ended up changing the whole thing to broad and meaningless. Sectionworker (talk) 19:41, 14 April 2023 (UTC)
