there is a school sidebar template. use it.
template
[edit]I added quite a bit of information, but it does not fit with the template. I also cannot find much history on the school.
contact information
[edit]I have removed the contact information for the adminstrators because the WikiProject Schools page says that "Generally timeless information (such as published teachers) is preferred over transitory information." Earlopogous 22:37, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
"Notable" Alumni
[edit]I was at the high school at the same time as three of the so-called "notable alumni." Calling a person 'award-winning' or 'upcoming' without further explanation or providing a source does not qualify anyone as "notable." The notable alumni section is for people who are "notable" in the sense defined by WP:NOTABILITY. The fact that other school entries also include non-notable alumni does not justify putting non-notable alumni here. I might call myself "upcoming trial lawyer" or "award-winning basketball player." Both would be true, but neither makes me notable.
I think that Greg Bluestein should absolutely be included. https://www.ajc.com/staff/greg-bluestein/. If the dude from Dukes of Hazard is on here, Greg should totally be on this list.
Should those people ever become truly notable, they may be re-added to the page. Otherwise, the notable alumni page should be reserved for the truly noteworthy.Niremetal 03:24, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
- For the sake of clarity, the alumni I was referring to are Lisa Zimmerman, Alan Gilmer, and Jason Geigerman. I have removed all three of their names from the section. Niremetal 03:30, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
- Agreed. A couple hints on this point: 1) If a Google search for your name turns up absolutely nothing about you, you're not notable; 2) someone isn't noteworthy just because they made some money on the stock market and are in charge of a company no one's heard of. So yeah. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.116.244.83 (talk) 00:34, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
Sandy Springs or Atlanta?
[edit]Currently, this Wikipedia page says the school is located in Sandy Springs AND Atlanta. Which is correct? 12.30.109.2 (talk) 06:07, 17 September 2014 (UTC)
- When it was first opened, the area was considered unincorporated Atlanta. Since Sandy Springs became it's own city in 2005, it is now considered to be Sandy Springs. 2601:C4:8301:CEB0:110E:5D72:1E19:8ED8 (talk) 21:04, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
