A few comments
[edit]- The "Background" section needs a lot more detail; some of the last bits look like little lines on their own - they should either be combined into paragraphs or removed entirely.
- Done. --LAX 15:39, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
- The "Event" section is terribly short for a PPV that had 8 matches (if you don't include the Heat match)
- That seems quite irrelevant, IMO. I covered every match, didn't I? More "play-by-play" isn't needed. --LAX 15:39, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
- Compared to some of the other PPV articles, it is quite short. D.M.N. (talk) 16:07, 7 August 2008 (UTC)
- True, but there is no standard on how long it has to be. --LAX 16:26, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

- The Batista/Eddie feud did carry on, but was abruptly stopped because of Eddie's death (if you wish, I'll provide bits from Batista book as he says what would of happened if Eddie didn't die).
- I'd appreciate that. --LAX 15:39, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

- The whole article needs to be put out-of-universe like some of the other articles i.e. SummerSlam (2003).
- I'll get working on that, even though I don't get why it has to be taken "out-of-universe" when it's only getting GA reviewed. --LAX 15:39, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

For all of this, cite
<ref>{{cite book | title = Batista Unleashed | first = Dave | last = Batista | authorlink = Dave Batista | coauthors = Roberts, Jeremy | isbn = 1-4165-4410-4 | publisher = [[Simon & Schuster]] | origmonth = October | origyear = 2007}}</ref>
with an extra "pages = " parameter for page number.
On Page 208, Batista mentions that the crowd and everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to Eddie after the event finished.
Below is a big quote from Pages 214/215. Put this into the article however you wish:
In November 2005, we had an angle going where he was trying really hard to gain my respect. We were working to a point where he would stick it to me with a really hard heel turn. Which was where things would of really started picking up and getting interesting. He had all this funny stuff planned out.
One show was going to be centered around him stealing my watch. He was going to do this thing where he noticed my watch in one segment and he'd say, "Ah, that's a nice watch! I've got one just like it." Then, next segment, I'm looking for my watch. I wouldn't be able to find my watch. Then he would come in and he'd have my watch on. But he'd say, "Hey, what do you think? Here's my watch. It looks just like yours." And of course, it's falling down to his elbow.
"Are you sure that's not my watch?" I'd say.
"No, no, it's my watch, man."
Then a segment later, I'd get my watch back, and he'd accuse me of stealing his watch.
The routines would go on from there, until I stole his clothes and car and left him naked in the parking lot. It would of been hilarious.
Eddie was real good at things like that. He would be the butt of the joke, just to entertain you.
GA Review

First, yay for the event taking place on my birthday :P Here are some comments & suggestions:
- Image:WWE No mercy 2005.jpg is about twice as big as it needs to be and should be scaled down to low-res per fair use criteria.
- No Mercy (2005) was the eight annual No Mercy professional wrestling pay-per-view event - "eighth"
- event was claimed to be "unmerciful" by Canadian Online Explorer's professional wrestling section - quotes in the lead need inline citations per WP:LEAD
- as none of the matches were rated higher than a five out of ten by them - "as they rated none of the matches higher than a five out of ten"
- Should Batista's image under Background be left-aligned? On the right, I've got a textless white block because the image is holding the text back underneath the infobox.
- The Ortons (Randy and "Cowboy" Bob [Robert]) - Randy's full name is "Randal"; why is "Robert"'s listed but not Randy's?
- Undertaker emerged from the flaming casket and attacked the SmackDown superstars - "superstars" is kind of subjective, don't you think?
All completed. --LAX 22:42, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
Otherwise, looks good to me. You've got a week to make changes while the GAN's on hold so good luck! —97198 (talk) 12:24, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, the changes all look good so I'll promote the article. —97198 (talk) 01:00, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
