Hi, just now I came across this news saying that this company server has been hacked:

Teen ‘Cyber Anakin’ hacker wants revenge on Russia after the MH17 crash

At start I'm thinking to include the event straight away but after checking the edit histories the edit sounds like a contentious one, so I bring all you here to discuss about this: Is it encyclopedic to include the said hacking into here?

While there was apparently a real breach (see the Troy Hunt ref) as far as I can see there's no indication that anyone really noticed until CA contacted Motherboard with his brag. (The only other reporting points back to Motherboard). I wouldn't put it in myself; but I'd not remove it if you added it - as long as it's low-key. Snori (talk) 08:49, 21 July 2017 (UTC)
I agree with Snori. Arigatous (talk) 10:08, 21 July 2017 (UTC)
@Snori:It has come to my attention that the edit we're talking about originates from a blocked user. However I don't think we should exclude encyclopedic and helpful additions simply because it's from blocked-niks. Cc:@Oshwah: Pavel Novikov (talk) 08:15, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
This had previously been closed per WP:DENY but a block-evading IP had reopened it and a comment was made by another user. —MRD2014 13:42, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
Acting upon my wife's advice that this proposed edit is too contentious which may invite more problems I have to do a U-turn and withdraw the proposal. If anyone wish to debate further they're free to override my closure. Pavel Novikov (talk) 13:59, 22 July 2017 (UTC)
