Inappropriate?

[edit]

In the wake of the 2015 Paris Attack, should a "French-Muslim" "Batman" representing France be considered not only controversial, but also inappropriate and insensitive to those who lost loved ones in the terrorist attacks? To be clear, this is NOT about "Muslims Superheroes" in general - but Nightrunner in particular, as he is suppose to "represent" France in the Batman Inc. line, which now in hindsight it seems a little inappropriate to have a Muslim character represent France, since it was Muslims who attacked Paris citizens. (Yes, not all Muslims are terrorists, that not what I'm saying - just that Nightrunner might be a little insensitive to grieving French families.) Should this be mentioned in the article? 173.209.110.29 (talk) 04:09, 31 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

> That is really not the question, the thing is, it is inappropriate that this hero is probably the only one who is presented by putting an emphasis on its religion. I am not aware that his religion is particularly important to his adventures, so I removed it, and I replaced the confusing Algerian French thing by "French citizen of Algerian origin" which is, to the best of my memories, the appropriate label. 240D:0:4241:6000:355B:F4C9:B7F1:7F84 (talk) 02:34, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
