Corrected a Fact

I changed "Dutch" to "Portuguese" to correct a factual error. In 1654, the Portuguese besieged Dutch outposts in Brazil and this event prompted Jews in Recife to look for other places in the New World to live because the Portuguese Catholics had been continually forcing baptism on Jews in their territories since 1497. The Dutch officially pulled out in 1661. Meanwhile, Jews in Amsterdam had secured permission from the Dutch to settle in their colonies in 1654, opening New Amsterdam and Barbados as popular locations for New World Jewish settlement. -Kimelawson 20:44, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Although they were from Brazil they weren't Protuguese according to what I've seen.

They were actually Dutch Jews living in Portuguese controlled areas.... E.g. this sites comes quickly to mind.
