Ngongotaha

[edit]

Ngongotaha is not a town but a suburb of Rotorua I've told yous many times but you keep changing it back and blocking me what a childish thing to do get your shit together and do it probably Wikipedia is such a joke Hsteinz2001 (talk) 20:32, 28 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You've told us but you've provided no source, despite having been asked to many times. Statistics New Zealand regards Ngongotahā as a small urban area, and Rotorua as a large urban area. They don't classify suburbs in this way. See the arcgis map and click on the Urban/rural layer. or use the stats page for urban/rural areas where you'll find Ngongotaha but you won't find suburbs of Rotorua.-gadfium 21:10, 28 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
go online to the Rotorua buses it says it only serves the Rotorua city area Ngongotaha is included in it meaning its a suburb look at businesses in Ngongotaha the address for them all say the road name then Ngongotaha Rotorua meaning suburb and city even look at the postcode its the same as koutu which is another suburb for a place to be classed as its own town it needs to have its own post code that's not shared 222.155.63.249 (talk) 11:21, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It even says in on Wikipedia that Ngongotaha is part of the Rotorua metropolitan area which is the city area so it is classed as a suburb even type online suburbs of Rotorua other sites have Ngongotaha down as a suburb 222.155.63.249 (talk) 11:24, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It is part of the Rotorua functional urban area, but so is Rotomā. Are you arguing that is a suburb too? Perhaps satellite town would be a better description, although the article says a satellite town should have a separate municipal government, which means no town in New Zealand would probably qualify since the 1989 local body reforms.-gadfium 19:50, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah but Rotoma isn't even urban its rural just like hamurana and it has its own postcode like hamurana, Ngongotaha on the other hand does not it shares the same postcode as town and other suburb such as koutu and owhata so that makes it a suburb it even has the Rotorua buses which don't go to Hamurana or Rotoma because it states on the website that the buses only serves the the suburbs of Rotorua even the council stated that Ngongotaha is a suburb and not a separate town
I think yous need to research abit especially since yous put Hamurana down instead of Ngongotaha i had to come in and changed that so yous must not know everything if yous cant even put the right area name down 222.155.63.249 (talk) 23:35, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I've found suitable references to it being considered a suburb, and used Te Ara as an impeccable source. It now says its usually considered a suburb in the lead, and is in the appropriate category.-gadfium 03:13, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
it's usually considered a suburb meaning its a suburb and it should say its a suburb of Rotorua and not a town close to Rotorua as it's still part of the city 222.154.69.193 (talk) 15:48, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No city

[edit]

you have put electorate as Rotorua but because Ngongotaha is also a suburb it should say what city it is part of like how the other suburbs do 222.152.205.55 (talk) 22:34, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
