Contested deletion

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Neville Quist is an Australian icon. I am from Adelaide and my ambition is to be a fashion designer. We learn about Neville Quist and he even came and spoke to us one day at college. He is well-known domestically and internationally.

He also has links to MIchael Jackson and his famous relative Adrian Quist.

I'm from Australia too, but I have no idea who this person is. Please provide reliable sources on him (which shows notability), because currently this BLP is unsourced and can't be verified - which isn't allowed. Thank you, -- MST☆R ^{(Chat Me!)} 06:57, 10 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

In order for a person to warrant a Wikipedia article, though, the person needs to be notable and to show this, references to reliable third-party sources that show this need to be introduced into the article, otherwise it may be deleted.
