Complexity
[edit]Rick Beato calls this the most complicated pop song ever written[1] and shows how it goes through a ridiculous number of chord changes. It would be good if the article could include some analysis of the composition. Someone in Beato's comments section claims to have written a chord chart for the song, that included 68 chords. 2602:24A:DE47:BA60:8FCB:EA4E:7FBD:4814 (talk) 08:08, 12 July 2021 (UTC)
- Not necessary. This is a small article that should not be overwhelmed by such a thing. Even other long song articles do not have that stuff. Bollyjeff | talk 23:20, 12 July 2021 (UTC)
- Well it would depend on how much sourcing is out there, but if it's available then we should use it. Yes other song articles do have it, at least sometimes. See for example Good Vibrations#Composition and analysis, a wonderful section. That sort of thing is tremendously helpful to the article. If it's missing from other articles and it's possible to add it, then of course they should get it too. Meanwhile though, I see this article has a link to the Beato vid, which is good enough for now. 2602:24A:DE47:BA60:8FCB:EA4E:7FBD:4814 (talk) 02:28, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
Dionne Warwick song as the disambig name?
[edit]I know the song was first recorded by her, but her version isn't notable under her name, Mendes' version is.
Shouldn't the article be called "Never Gonna Let You Go" (Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil song) Turtletennisfogwheat (talk) 04:21, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah, definitely, because the article talks about three recordings of the same song. And despite of Mendes' accolade, it would be great to gather info on the other two arrangements, and production. Rblourenco (talk) 15:04, 29 May 2024 (UTC)
- I've decided to just move the title and have Mann and Weil in parentheses. Turtletennisfogwheat (talk) 11:53, 30 May 2024 (UTC)
