Construction Halt

Style
[edit]- Lead a little long for the length of the article
- Lead generally well written, but phrase
several stops and starts
perhaps a bit too non-encyclopedic for GA (though this arguably a part that can be trimmed anyway) - Original station good
- Question - are Spanish missionaries not titled 'Padre' (instead of 'Father')
- El Garces subsection otherwise good
- Restoration good
- There were a few punctuation errors - resolved
- Nice work!
- Needs attention - lead length and question on terminology
Coverage
[edit]- Some excessive coverage in the lead (also per style on MOS:LEADLENGTH) - there are some details that can be cut back to only the main overview. It's well written so I trust that editors/the nominator can identify places to trim effectively
- Original station good
- El Garces subsection good
- Restoration good
- The only section is on History, is there no other kind of coverage? Though legacy/impact seem to be incorporated into the history, I'd ask if there might be any appearances in popular culture, for example?
- Needs attention - lead work and question on other potential
Illustration
[edit]- All images on commons
- Good infobox, and suitable use of the collapse for former services
- Good use of images, fair amount for length of article
- Pass
Neutrality
[edit]- Fine
- Pass
Verifiability
[edit]- Sources good
- Everything cited in line
- Pass
Stability
[edit]- History good
- Pass
Copyright
[edit]- No apparent copyvio
- Commons images

Overall
[edit]- on hold A few things, but a very nice article overall. Kingsif (talk) 07:23, 16 January 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for taking the review! I combined a couple sentences in the lede, but I don't think there's much more than I can do without it missing out on major summary points. While it's a bit longer than typical for ~1000 words of main text, I don't think 11 sentences in 3 short paragraphs is disastrously long.
- I changed Father to Padre to match the source. As for other sections, I don't think there's really anything else to add. Unlike some other stations I've brought to GA, there's not a complex platform configuration nor a laundry list of connecting services. Perhaps because of its remote location, I haven't seen any significant appearances in popular culture or so on. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 05:18, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response, that makes it clear. I'll also note here that I saw the request for images on the talk page, but believe any more would be too saturated so I don't find that the images described would improve the article. Bearing in mind, happy to pass this. Kingsif (talk) 05:37, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
