Merge
[edit]Do we really need two separate disambiguation pages for "Nathan"? Why not one page? —Dfass 15:12, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- Endorse merge; I suggest moving content to the older, more history-rich Nathan and leaving this page as a redirect to there. BigNate37(T) 15:16, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
- Agree with above. Accurizer 19:51, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
- An alternative would be to move Nathan to Nathan (biblical), then moving this main disam page to Nathan. This seems to work for Zechariah and Zechariah (biblical). - Fayenatic london (talk) 14:21, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- Merge and leaving this page as a redirect to Nathan--ZekeMacNeil 06:28, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Split
[edit]The Manual of Style requires disambiguation pages only to contain people if they are known by that name alone. I have therefore left Nathan (Prophet) and one other, and moved the rest of the people including the Biblical ones to Nathan (given name). - Fayenatic (talk) 21:59, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
- Damn, I think you're right! Here are excerpts from MOS:DABNAME: "Persons who have the disambiguated term as surname or given name should not be mixed in with the other links unless they are very frequently referred to simply by the single name (e.g. Elvis, Shakespeare)." I'll fix that for you ASAP Hutcher (talk) 17:28, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
