Is it really that notable that this class was built in different parts of the UK? I think it's a bit of a stretch to say they were built in three different countries when they were all built in the UK, I think it gives the impression that some or all of the class wasn't built in the United Kingdom. I agree with G R Allison - they are indeed called "countries" and are different, but they are certainly not separate now and were even less so at the time. See Countries of the United Kingdom. --Wikiain (talk) 23:12, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Precisely, they may be called 'countries' in common usage of that word but they are certainly not countries in the sense they are not sovereign states and are all part of (regardless of any national feelings to the contrary) the country of the United Kingdom. The certainly not separate in any meaningful way (the entire reason I brought this point up) and as for their governments, remember the UK government is the overriding authority (like the federal government in the US). Side note here, I don't think England does actually have its own government and parliament. For obvious reasons Westminster can't be counted. England is governed from the UK parliament oddly enough. G.R. Allison (talk) 07:25, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
