"However, on 14 September 1940, Captain Prince Kitashirakawa died in an airplane crash while on duty in Inner Mongolia, thus becoming the second member of the Imperial Family killed in World War II (the first being Captain Prince Fushimi Hiroyoshi in 1937)" 1937? Second World War? Excuse me? The Second World War is recognised by the majority of people to have started in 1939. The Wikipedia article for World War II lists the beginning of the war as 1939. While a few people do maintain that the Second World War began with the Manchurian crisis, most do not. Editing to correct this. --Lord Akria 20:14, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nagahisa KitashirakawaPrince Nagahisa Kitashirakawa – Common trend is that all Japanese princes are called Prince followed by Family Name/Title followed by Personal Name if they were not made a commoner except current princes who are Personal Name, Prince Family Name/Title. Only exceptions are princes who later became commoners like the post WW2 princes and the earlier princes who started the Minamoto clans. KAVEBEAR (talk) 19:16, 3 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
