Murdo Mackenzie → Murdo MacKenzie (minister) – This article is currently disambiguated from Murdo MacKenzie, a different person, who was proficient as a cattle owner. I think the spelling difference "MacKenzie" vs. "Mackenzie" is not enough to differentiate between the two, as the text of both articles seems to vary between the spellings "MacKenzie" and "Mackenzie" pretty much randomly. A clearer disambiguation is needed. The cattle owner could be left as the main topic as that article has more incoming links. JIP | Talk 11:53, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
- Support per nomination and would also support creation of the Murdo Mackenzie disambiguation page. The orthography for the minister's family name is indeed inconsistent as confirmed by this listing which indicates, "Rev Murdo Mackenzie: A Memory by His Wife Hardcover – 1914 by Ella S MacKenzie (Author)". —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 16:40, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
- Comment I would suggest indeed keeping Murdo MacKenzie as is per WP:SMALLDETAILS and views [[1]], I would also possibly suggest keeping Murdo MacKenzie as is also per SMALLDETAILS but that's weaker since the capital "K" in the middle of the name is unusual and the one with the lower case "k" gets less views. - There are very many Scottish names spelled "MacSomething" where the "Something" part indeed has a capital letter in the middle of the name. "Mac" seems to be more of a prefix than a name on its own. JIP | Talk 17:48, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
- Although the article here uses "Murdo MacKenzie" in text, none of the online sources cited in the article use the capital "K". However this source (from Google) for the Murdo MacKenzie one does. Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:56, 23 April 2019 (UTC)
