I think this article needs a complete summary, like with other literary works. I, for one, am certainly dying to know who the murderer is as the last CD of the audio book went missing. The summary is nowhere on the web. 4.164.9.235 (talk) 05:40, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
I started writing one a couple of months ago but for some reason found it quite hard to finish. Unlike other Christie summaries I've written for Wikipedia, the plotline is not as defined as in her other works and, as professional critics have noted, there is little detection. BTW, the murderer is Miss Wayneflete.--Jtomlin1uk (talk) 11:40, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
Oddly one of the chapter headings gives the above away, or does if you think about it while still reading.

Mayang Straits
I'm pretty sure this is a fictional place. The Mayang referenced in the text is nowhere near any water. Beowulf (talk) 03:02, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
I always thought that the Mayang Straits (not Straights) referred to somewhere in colonial Malaysia.Rithom (talk) 09:19, 2 October 2020 (UTC)
British and American versions
I read in John Curran's Agatha Christie's Secret Notebooks that the American edition of Murder is Easy is slightly different from the British one: some chapters are shorter, some secondary characters don't appear, etc. I've also noticed that the Wikipedia article mentions two names for Bridget's husband-to-be: Whitfield and Easterfield. I have never read about Easterfield. Maybe it's his name in the American version? If so, I think it should be specified. Aziliz Breizh (talk) 17:03, 29 December 2015 (UTC)
- Yes that seems to be the case. By and by, they are very minor differences. Another one is the changing of Lavinia's surname. Warringtonbear363 (talk) 06:51, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
