Multielectrode array → Microelectrode array – Both microelectrode array and multielectrode array are commonly used. However, microelectrode array is more appropriate: micro is an important characteristic of the electrodes. A multielectrode array with larger-than-micro electrodes would not achieve the function of recording single cell activity. Furthermore, multi and array together are redundant. The first MEA was correctly described as a microelectrode array: Thomas et al. "A miniature microelectrode array to monitor the bioelectric activity of cultured cells." - Support. Now that you have pointed it out, that's a good idea. Thanks. --Tryptofish (talk) 22:00, 16 November 2018 (UTC)
