Merge
[edit]I am under the impression that "mitotoxin" is related to growth factors proteins, whereas the content of this article talks about "maitotoxin." Is there a way to merge this article with the "maitotoxin" article and then write a new article about "mitotoxin" instead? 128.174.87.24 16:00, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- I have merged the content of this article with maitotoxin, then blanked this article. As you said "mitotoxin" is unrelated to "maitotoxin", easily confirmed by a google search for mitotoxin [1]. I am no expert on mitotoxins so can't really add any content here... - Zephyris Talk 13:23, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Ciguatera
[edit]According to the ciguatera article, ciguatera is not caused by maitotoxin, but by ciguatoxin, which is, according to the structure and information given in said article, a quite separate chemical. ~XarBioGeek (talk) 00:17, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
- As mentioned above this article had some severe issues with accuracy. The factually correct content has been moved to maitotoxin and this article was then blanked. - Zephyris Talk 13:23, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
