Jewish scientists and the Manhattan Project
[edit]Needs firm editing and more reorganization - the Einstein-Szilard letter is mentioned at least three times, too redundant.Parkwells (talk) 20:39, 26 May 2011 (UTC)

Article creation and need
[edit]So I'm guessing that an article will be made for every ethnic group that served in the American military and their history in the U.S military?. This article is very suspecious.Starbwoy (talk) 00:38, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
MIT Radiation Lab - major omission
[edit]Just to note that this article does not mention the major wartime contributions from the MIT Radiation Laboratory. Jewish scientists were critical to the development of radar during the war, I. I. Rabi in particular. There is a strong case to be made that the development of radar technologies were what gave the allies the advantage in WWII. Bdushaw (talk) 07:03, 26 May 2015 (UTC)

Jews In the Civil War
[edit]The book by Simon Wolf. The American Jew as Patriot, Soldier and Citizen. Philadelphia:: The Levytype Company, 1895. provides false information. There was no reliable source listing the religion of soldiers and or civilians in the US during the civil war. Simon Wolf no doubt went through the published lists of soldiers and tried to guess who was Jewish. Wolf included my great grandfather Aaron Burnheimer, to make him sound Jewish he changed the spelling of the name to "Bernheimer" The Burnheimer's were German-American protestants originally from Bedford Co. Pennsylvania. Simon Wolf does not list the sources for the names he lists, the book is not reliable and belongs in the garbage. --Woogie10w (talk) 18:29, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
Thank you. I've long suspected these sorts of shenanigans. I would have been much easier for Twain to simply submit than to forcefully argue the point. This is generally how jews win most arguments. Deceit and vehemence. This whole article reads like it was written by the ADL. (I'll show myself out). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:8800:5D80:96F:298A:6DDA:5C2E:3 (talk) 19:06, 7 August 2020 (UTC)
- In the current version of the article said book isn´t stated to be used as a source for anything in the civil war section. ...GELongstreet (talk) 18:41, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
Adding New Information to this Article
[edit]Hello, after reading Deborah Moore's (a history professor at the University of Michigan) book GI Jews, I discovered that are some details that I think that I can contribute to this Wikipedia article. I wish to add missing information about the Jewish Chaplains that served during World War II as well as details about how Jewish soldiers worshipped overseas during the War. I would also like to add information about the relationships between the Christian and Jewish soldiers during the second World War. I will be adding GI Jews by Deborah Moore to the source list too. Altogether I will add 200-300 words and if anyone wants to comment on these changes, please let me know on this Talk Page or on my Talk Page. Bridget119 (talk) 00:11, 17 November 2019 (UTC)
While neutrality is essential in all Wiki articles, I was hoping this article would have a more favorable flavor to it. Jews played roles in all aspects of America's wars but listing Henry Kissinger, despite his role as Secretary of State, as a positive profile for Jews in America's wars, it's a disgrace to Jews who gave their lives to America, while Kissinger did no positive service to the U.S. His resume is one littered with the deaths of millions of people including Jews. His involvement in U.S. diplomacy is nothing less than an utter disgrace and should be removed from this article. I won't make any changes to this article but let others who are better versed in the topic to do so. Jtpaladin (talk) 03:54, 24 December 2019 (UTC)
