Removed negative information

[edit]

I've removed the following paragraph:

"The novel does not touch on sensitive political subjects, in contrast to some of Stout's other books including The Doorbell Rang (abuse of power by J. Edgar Hoover at the FBI) or The Second Confession (unmasking disguised Communists)."

because I suggest that it's not worthwhile discussing what a novel is NOT about. There are many things that this novel is not about: "shoes and ships and sealing wax", etc. In fact, most of Stout's books are not about sensitive political subjects and it would probably be more worthwhile to identify the ones that are in the articles about them. The plot summary for the second half of the book seems to be missing, but I don't have my copy handy to fill it in; I'll put this on my watchlist for when I'm by my books.
