Micrurus

[edit]

Why does the Micrurus link in the taxon box not actually link to the Genus? Seems like that's something that should be standardized. It doesn't even redirect, it's just a different link to the visible text. If I wanted to go to the coral snake page, I would click that link in the article instead.--71.113.238.96 (talk) 05:36, 4 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dates of fatal attacks

[edit]

This part is difficult to understand. Either there were NO deaths from coral snake bites (in the US) between the 1970s and 2006, or there WERE deaths in the 1980s and 1990s. If the 1980s and 1990s deaths were outside the US, then say so. Also, can we be consistent with either 19xxs or 'xxs in the same sentence?

Until 2006, no deaths from coral snake bites had been reported since the 1970s in the United States. However, rare, fatal bites have occurred according to several scientific journals in the '80s and '90s.
