Michael German (terrorism) → Michael German (US) – misrepresenting the affiliations and experience of this individual, I do not have the capability to change directly Ehawkit (talk) 17:54, 12 July 2017 (UTC) --Relisting. —usernamekiran(talk) 22:51, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Ehawkit (talk) 18:57, 12 July 2017 (UTC)
- That is: Michael German is/was not a terrorist, and the current disambiguater may mislead some. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 04:11, 13 July 2017 (UTC)
- Comment. In the lead sentence, subject is described as "FBI agent, scholar, and writer." Any of those or "investigator", "agent", "whistleblower" or "consultant" would be more apt than "(terrorism)". In fact, there does not seem to be a good reason to use any qualifier since the WP:COMMONNAME of the only other Michael German on Wikipedia is Mike German. Since this Michael German has not been referenced as "Mike", a hatnote atop this article pointing to Mike German, Baron German would probably be sufficient. —Roman Spinner (talk)(contribs) 16:52, 13 July 2017 (UTC)
- Alternative Michael German (counter-terrorism) or Michael German (FBI) but not the current title. In ictu oculi (talk) 10:38, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
- Move to Michael German per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC and WP:TWODABS. As noted by Roman Spinner, the only other article is already naturally disambiguated. Since this article gets significantly more pageviews than the other[1], a hatnote is all that is necessary. Station1 (talk) 23:21, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
- Move to Michael German. No primary topic here, but neither "terrorism" or "US" are acceptable disambiguators and the other is usually known as Mike German, so a hatnote is fine. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:49, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
- Move to Michael German per Necrothesp. Solves a lot of issues No such user (talk) 21:22, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
