The Javanese Year of 2008 is 1940-1942, not 1940-1941

[edit]

According to the current content, 2008 coincides with the Javanese Year of 1940-1941, which is not true. Actually, 2008 coincides with the Javanese Year of 1940-1942. The Javanese calendar is derived from the Hijri calendar. In 2008, the 1429 Hijri year was occured completely within the year. 1429 AH coincides with the Javanese year of 1941, which was also occured completely within the year. So, the Javanese year of 2008 in "2008 in other calendars" infobox should be changed to 1940-1942. Thank you for your attention. Ozgoldebron (talk) 12:31, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In turn, 2009 coincides with "1942-1943" not "1941-1942", 2010 with "1943-1944" not "1942-1943", and 2011 with "1944-1945" not "1943-1945" Ozgoldebron (talk) 12:34, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Collage thoughts

[edit]

Please let me know if anyone has any disagreements on the images included in the collage, and I will put it up for vote. Thanks The ganymedian (talk) 22:48, 8 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please remove the slurry incident (US-centric). Deb (talk) 17:51, 11 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I also think the Kingston Fossil Plant coal fly ash slurry spill is not really important. If it happened in other countries, it might be ignored. I suggest that it be replaced by the Phoenix (spacecraft). It was the first probe to prove that water ice still exists on Mars. Nagae Iku (talk) 11:10, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Nagae Iku & Deb, the slurry incident is US-centric and it is a great idea to replace it with something that is not US-centric, like the Phoenix (spacecraft) or the 2008 Tibetan unrest 4me689 (talk) 05:28, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The 2008 Tibet unrest do not need to occupy a place in the 2008 collage anymore, as there were already two Chinese events and there is no need to add another one. However, it can be included in the introduction of the 2008 Beijing Olympics of collage, as the unrest sparked widespread boycotts by Western countries of this Olympics. Nagae Iku (talk) 05:57, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
ok then, I'll just go with Phoenix (spacecraft). 4me689 (talk) 06:02, 30 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
