Hello WikiPeople. The suggested pronunciation isn't correct. My name is pronounced "worker", not the germanic "verker" that's there now. We haven't used that for more than 150 years when the Wuerker's homesteaded in Illinois. Much appreciated Matt Wuerker (worker) 108.31.145.62 (talk) 00:57, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
- Question: The pronunciation is sourced to a VOA program, the narrator of which apparently got it wrong. Can you provide a link to an alternative program (at a reliable source) that gets it right? I don't think the VOA program is a particularly good reference, but we have no way of knowing whether you're actually Mr. Weurker, do we? RivertorchFIREWATER 03:26, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
- Done A quick search will yield multiple uses of correct pronunciation. — nihlus kryik (talk) 19:36, 20 September 2017 (UTC)
