What about Matt Walsh, the blogger?

[edit]

What about Matt Walsh, the blogger? He's been cited at least by Gawker and Christian Today. He has more than 300k followers in Facebook... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrincodi (talkcontribs) 20:14, 16 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don’t see any reason to exclude the Catholic blogger Matt Walsh from this page. He has a podcast and a notable presence on Twitter, and he writes columns for the opinion journalism website The Daily Wire. He has also been a guest speaker at Baylor University and helped organize a rally against Pennsylvania Rep. Brian Sims’ comments about peaceful pro-life women this year. – The comedian is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Over the past five years, the comedian has been the most viewed Matt Walsh article by a large margin. The views for basketball player exceeded the views for the comedian only 5 days. I also think that it's common sense that an Emmy nominated actor, who is still acting, has more long-term significance than a retired journeyman basketball player.  Bait30  Talk 2 me pls? 00:20, 6 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: moved. Consensus exists to move the DAB page to Matthew Walsh, and redirect Matt Walsh there. (closed by non-admin page mover) Skarmory (talk • contribs) 06:04, 8 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

– The article about the comedian is very clearly no longer the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. When I google "Matt Walsh", I almost exclusively get results about the political commentator, and the article about the political commentator also gets more page views than the article about the comedian. I am striking "per nomination" in my "support" vote and join Ortizesp's support for the move of Matt Walsh (disambiguation)Matthew Walsh, which currently redirects to the comedian, thus forcing the sole main title header "Matthew" — a one-sentence stub for Matthew Walsh (cyclist) — to need the parenthetical qualifier "(cyclist)". If there is consensus for the proposed move, Matt Walsh can then serve as a redirect to the Matthew Walsh dab page. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 23:05, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'd support moving the comedian to Matthew Walsh and having Matt Walsh be a DAB page. SWinxy (talk) 00:28, 2 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The comedian's article lists (under "References") 10 inline cites and (under "External links") three websites that serve as sources, with none of those referencing the comedian as "Matthew Walsh". —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 18:49, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm okay. Support nomination. SWinxy (talk) 19:19, 3 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
