Matbucha is similar to Salat Turki (Turkish Salad) but is different, it is not "sometimes called" that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.186.10.177 (talk) 16:30, 22 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Seconded re Turkish Salad. They're interchangeable on the table (as in; you won't miss one if you have the other) but Matbucha is typically stewed bell peppers and onions in a tomato sauce whereas Turkish Salad is made of fresh red onions in tomato paste. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.64.195.136 (talk) 20:21, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Onions is not even mentioned as an ingredient. Drsruli (talk) 07:04, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Turkish Salad has eggplant. Drsruli (talk) 06:42, 9 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Spelling

[edit]

websearch for "matbukha", top entries are spelled "matbucha". Drsruli (talk) 07:02, 30 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What is it, really?

[edit]

"Preparation" and photo don't fit together. Eother cooked down to a smooth paste, or less & still leaving the ingredients recognisable. Probable variations? Maybe Morocco vs Israel? Arminden (talk) 12:03, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Served cold or hot?
