Edit request (conflict of interest)
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Conflict of interest disclosure: I am Lynn McDonald's son.
Here are several factual corrections to Lynn's page, for her bio box, career, and personal life:
- Lynn's spouse should be listed as Michael Edwards[1][2]. I don't have a published citation for the dates of their marriages but know from family memory and official documents that Lynn and Michael married in 1990. [Dan Wikler] is Lynn's former husband, married from 1967 to 1986. Done
- Lynn has two children, [Ben Wikler] (me) and Ruth Wikler [3], who is the Deputy Director of Programming at CircusArts/TOHU in Montreal[4][5][6]. (Currently the page only lists one child.) Already done
- Lynn is now retired[7]. Formerly, she was Professor of Social Work Research at Middlesex University (UK)[8][9][10]. Done
- Lynn should not be identified as a psychologist. She has a PhD in general psychology but is not a clinical psychologist. Instead, her identification should be as a social work academic. She is a clinical social worker and a clinical family therapist, but her primary work has been as a social work academic and a social entrepreneur as the founder of FAST. Already done. Lynn's full bio is here[11] and many of the peer-reviewed articles list these professional identifiers.
