A few points to add or clarify

At some point, al-Maghribi joined the opponents to Gaddafi, hence his remaining in London. He even was victim of an assassination attempt in 1978. For details, see French article. I hope that helps. --MathsPoetry (talk) 10:10, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
Also, are you sure he co-founded the "Children of Palestine" in 1950? He would have been aged only 14 or 15. That's not impossible, but rather unlikely. --MathsPoetry (talk) 11:20, 8 February 2012 (UTC)
