Was KMT "rightwing" in 1924?

[edit]

"However, he joined the right-wing Chinese Nationalist Party in 1924"... Describing the Kuomintang as "right-wing" in 1924 seems questionable. At that time it was led by Sun Yatsen, and was in alliance with the Chinese Communist Party (the First United Front). Certainly it was to move to the right a few years later, when Chiang Kaishek carried out a purge of Communists and others on the left. But that is another matter. Date format

[edit]

Hello,

Is there a reason the article uses MDY? I think most other Korea-related articles use DMY, and it seems like Lyuh wasn't particularly connected to any countries that used MDY format.

As far as I can see, there isn't anything in the MOS:KO about date format, so I think we follow MOS:DATETIES.

It currently says "Articles on topics with strong ties to a particular English-speaking country should generally use the date format most commonly used in that nation. For the United States this is (for example) July 4, 1976; for most other English-speaking countries it is 4 July 1976."

I will go ahead and make the change to DMY, but if you disagree please feel free to undo and discuss here. toobigtokale (talk) 16:35, 25 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Useful source

[edit]

If anyone can read Korean and is looking for a good source to use for this article, here you go: [1]

The Monthly Chosun Ilbo has been a pretty incredible source for history for me. They get some insane interviews with historical people; drop some real bombshells. toobigtokale (talk) 10:26, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
