A fact from Lucy McBath appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 29 July 2018 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Hi Muboshgu. Great job with this article! Quick question: which source supports her DOB? I noticed the DOB is unsourced and couldn't find it in the first source that supports the POB. MX (✉ • ✎) 03:17, 29 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I have edited the lede to remove unsupported speculation regarding the shooting of Jordan Davis. No citation has been provided anywhere I can see to indicate even that McBath considers the shooting a hate crime, never mind that it is "believed to be" such. WP:BLP also applies to Dunn - nowhere is it indicated that any judge or jury made any such finding. This is speculation that seems to be based on details mentioned in the Davis article. One has to guess at what the supposed basis for hate even would be, encouraging the reader to think in negative stereotypes. Overall, a bad look for Wikipedia. 70.24.4.20 (talk) 21:17, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I object to the current wording: "Speaking during 2022 in regards to further efforts to support gun control she made exaggerated claims regarding Assault Rifles stating "exit wounds can be a foot wide"
According to a NY Times article, [1], Dr. Martin Schreiber attests that "The exit wounds can be a foot wide.” (from an AR-15 assault rifle)
I do not know where she got "many of the bodies no longer exist.", but the (poorly punctuated) paragraph should be adjusted so that the facticity of Dr. Schreiber's statement is not deprecated and labeled an exaggeration. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ttr61 (talk • contribs) 00:20, 24 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
