NPOV? Cites?
"As an elected representative she has focused on issues that have affected the district and people she represents, working families and the country. She has promoted efforts to modernize and upgrade public schools, improve school safety, increase the federal minimum wage, reduce the high Hispanic drop-out rates, preserve Social Security and Medicare, and stimulate economic growth to create new jobs." This paragraph seems not NPOV to me. In fact, it sounds curiously like a campaign advertisement. We should get rid of this, and if there is concrete proof-- bill sponsor/cosponsor/author, public speeches-- then it should be here. This certainly shouldn't be here in its current form. -Franklin Bynum 05:10, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
- I don't have a problem with that statement. --evrik 20:26, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
- The problem is there are no cites. What is there to disagree about that? How has she done all those things? Votes? Speeches? Bills? Franklin Bynum 05:51, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
- I'm seeing this not point of view issue but a citation issue. Make yourself clearer!! Alamar2000 02:59, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- It sounds like a puff piece put out by her press secretary —Preceding unsigned comment added by JoeW4 (talk • contribs) 23:01, 7 November 2006
- This piece of pure opinion must be removed immediately. The fact that it has been a year later and no citation clearly means that it is not true —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.168.24.203 (talk • contribs) 16:19, 27 June 2007
- Actually, the opposite may be true. ----evrik (talk) 14:42, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Mexican-American
Does she refer to herself as Mexican-American? She was born in the United States. She should just be referred to as an American. Isaac Crumm 22:24, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
