Lord or Baron

[edit]

There is an article for John Hamilton, 2nd Lord Belhaven and Stenton listed on this page, but there is also an article John Hamilton, 2nd Baron Belhaven and Stenton which is more comprehensive. Which is the correct title under which the article should be listed? AllanHainey 11:47, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Either is correct, but Lord is the mode of address, while Baron is the title. A quick survey would suggest that most Barons are in the form John Hamilton, 2nd Baron Belhaven and Stenton. Also this page should probably be at Baron Belhaven and Stenton.</> :: Supergolden 16:20, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
My mistake, this is a Lordship of Parliament not a Barony :: Supergolden 11:05, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Almost every Lord Belhaven and Stenton is relinked... in the other Scottish peerage articles most of the early lords are just listed, if no one objects I will change them from redlinks... (also I added a end strikethru above this section, I have a feeling that the above comment should have ended it before this but I am not going to change someone else's talk...)
