What other prizes can be offered at an amateur golf tournament besides longest drive and closest to the pin ??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.160.144.97 (talk) 06:29, 10 March 2012 (UTC)
2843 yards, huh? Maybe that deserves a citation.
There should be something about "Long Drive" after the Reconstruction...
Not sure how to change the article name, but it really ought to be "long drive" rather than long driving; someone who knows how please do so.
"86 in is not 127 cm" Long drive clubs, which are always drivers, are different in many ways from consumer clubs. Until the recent club length limitation rules, the shafts were much longer than a normal 88in. (112 cm) shaft, sometimes exceeding 55 in. (140 cm). In 2005, the 86 in. (127 cm) limitation was introduced.
"this statement doesn't make sense" Clubheads usually approach the 460 cubic centimeter limit, rarely below 620cc
The article claims that some long drive golfers are PGA Tour professionals. Who? There are none that I'm aware of. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.18.136.70 (talk) 02:59, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
The article reads somewhat as a maketing tool for long drivers, and also uses an odd anology vs skiing and snowboarding. Much of it is opinion, not fact. --Matty art (talk) 20:48, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
- seems to have been cleaned up. Ansh666 (talk) 03:52, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
Allen Doyle did not make the 515yard drive in Las Vegas competition, he was 26 years old then. It was made by Mike Austin. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.87.83.102 (talk) 02:05, 9 November 2011 (UTC)
The cited reference does not say Allen Doyle made an 843 yard drive. In fact, the only references I can find for the drive cite this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Llamero (talk • contribs) 19:18, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
