Removed claim of entirely-atmospheric flight
[edit]I've removed the claim sourced to VK Thakur at the Eurasian Times for a number of reasons. First, while the Eurasian Times is not itself an unreliable source, this is an opinion piece and the paper explicitly disclaims these views as being personal to the author; thus there is no inherent reliability transferred to Thakur's claims. Second, we cannot make the statement in wikivoice that the missile operates this way -- Thakur specifically claims the early rotation "suggests" this. This is a speculation, not a statement of fact. There is not sufficient data to support the claim that the flight profile is purely atmospheric. It would be unusual if that was the case -- most MRBMs are exoatmospheric at some point in their trajectories. It's entirely possible Thakur -- a pilot, not a missileer or arms controller -- simply confused the difference between a ballistic and cruise missile (or thinks the LRAShM flies a similar trajectory to a BrahMos). In any event, it's not solid enough sourcing to support the claim as written, so I've removed it.⇒SWATJester Shoot Blues, Tell VileRat! 21:33, 30 November 2024 (UTC)
