Can we use references in Disambiguation pages like this?

[edit]

I need to know this, because there are some authentic references which give a different meaning of lone-wolf. For example, the reference "Loblaw A. Is it time to end lone-wolf medicine? Can Urol Assoc J. 2016 Sep-Oct;10(9-10):319-320. doi: 10.5489/cuaj.4163. PMID: 27800052; PMCID: PMC5085910." gives an interesting meaning [not mentioned currently in the disambiguation page] of lone-wolf medicine. To be able to include that meaning, I must include that reference. I remember vaguely a friend telling me that his entry was quickly deleted on a disambiguation page, because he introduced a reference in it. I may completely be wrong though. Hence seeking this advice.

Thanks

Neotaruntius No, references are not allowed on WP:DAB pages. If you can find an article in which such a usage is already mentioned, or it makes sense to add it to an article with the citation, then the DAB page can use that article as a target.
