Name change
[edit]There were 70 items on Google News referring to the name change, as at 20th Aug 09. The re-branding seemed to put the airport 'on the map', if not in the way anticipated, and opened a brief debate on airport names and locations (eg Why do airports change names? BBC ) It seemed right to refer to 'press comment' in the article, though I am not sure if it has been referenced correctly. SkyeWaye (talk) 20:29, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
- Don't worry, getting your head round citation styles is a bit of a pain. You've done fine, and produced an addition which is well backed up by sources. I've tidied the paragraph up a bit and used a distance conversion template (we should try to use miles and kilometres as most international readers are not familiar with miles), but it was a lot better than many things you'll see in Wikipedia. A note to bear in mind for the future is that punctuation goes before the reference, not after it. All in all, a job well done! Skinsmoke (talk) 01:09, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
Many thanks for your help, Skinsmoke, and skilful amendment. Credit goes to Msa1701 and Oxfordmale for highlighting the controversy; I added just 3 words and the references. The press interest, though brief, seemed worth a note! :) SkyeWaye (talk) 19:58, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
