Merge issue
[edit]Following from discussion on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Xdamr#Pretoria_and_London_Conventions and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Paul_Hjul#Pretoria.2FLondon_Conventions
While I can see your position for retention of the two articles as seperate articles (we've discussed this on our talk pages) for now it seems best to me at least for the merge tag to be left - the orphaned tag can go - because we are constructing some stuff on it.

- Sorry, I didn't intend to remove the merge tag, only to undo the merge by User:Marcsin - a move which in my view was rather precipitate. I'll try to expand the two pages Pretoria and London Conventions over the next couple of days, then we can decide their future.

- I thought as much. Thanks. On that point I've fixed the link from the Pretoria Convention

Suzerainty
[edit]The idea that British suzerainty was relinquished seems to be contradicted by Article I paragraph 4: The South African Republic will conclude no treaty or engagement with any state or nation other than The OFS … until the same is approved by HM the Queen. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 105.27.172.154 (talk) 13:28, 26 August 2019 (UTC)
