Welcome to the Jungle is not from MTV VMA 1988!
[edit]The notion that WTTJ was recorded at MTV VMA 1988 is ridiculous. Anyone can check the two recordings and see (or rather hear) that they have nothing in common.
Redoing of Vocals
[edit]It isn't hear-say, it just is. Anyone denying that is just living in... well, denial.
Notably the end of Rocket Queen, and probably the end of Estranged. Bands do this all the time with Live Albums.
Even Slash went in to re-do some guitar parts.
- Estranged is completly redone. I was shocked when I heard the live dvd version, it is totally different to the one in the album. 136.145.174.229 21:10, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Slash has got nothing to do with the band since he signed over everything to Axl in 1997. Pretty certain the sound has been altered in studio, but unless there's evidence to back up your claim that they personally went into the studio its hear-say & nothing more.
Some of the songs are changed such as Knocking on Heavens Door.It begins far away and then it gets louder like a studio recording. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Guns N Roses Fan 95 (talk • contribs) 01:45, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
Estranged vocals are 100% redone. If you watch the Tokyo DVD clip (available on youtube) of the alleged performance (obviously supposed to be same one because of hara-kiri comment), you hear him take audible breaths on long notes which he sings without stopping on the Live Era mix. And generally his voice is much raspier. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.229.237.36 (talk) 02:12, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
You Could Be Mine
[edit]It's from Santiago, Chile 2.12.1992 in my OPINION. I listened to the bootleg and Axl construed it the same way he did in the version that's on the Live Era album. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.112.126.16 (talk) 17:27, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

The release date is 11/30/99, not 11/23/99
[edit]so, there are a LOT of posts today about Live Era also having a birthday. 11/23/99 is listed on Wikipedia, Slash Paradise, some fan sites, etc but they are wrong and off by 1 week. i am 100% confident that they are incorrect, here is my evidence. i think wikipedia and slashparadise.com should both be updated too.
A post from Duff McKagan's message board in 1999 that says: Hey dudes! Yes, the live album is offically [sic] released on the 30th November here in the US. I did work quite a bit on it. It was great becasue [sic] I got to meet all the guys again. Slash was responsible for most of the work on the album. He and Axl worked the hardest. https://groups.google.com/g/alt.rock-n-roll.metal.gnr/c/LL_8v-HC28s/m/N4mmyBZJ3CIJ
This is a post from Usenet, alt.rock-n-roll.metal.gnr on 11/29/1999 saying that MTV's website could be previewed for one day only on 11/29/99.
