Buggy list

[edit]

I'd say that this list is buggy. København Municipality is NOT the same as Storkøbenhavn which consists of several smaller municipalities. I'm wondering for example why Hvidovre is not showing up on the list as the city has 49,863 inhabitants and is an independent municipality. But I'm not sure about the definition for this list. It lists Taastrup, but is that the municipality of Høje-Taastrup or just the part of the municipality called Taastrup proper? Lilac Soul 11:44, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The area here is the Urban area of Copenhagen. This is not the same as Storkøbenhavn, but an international definition of what a city is. So any city that is connected with Copenhagen with no more than 200m between houses is included. Carewolf 10:19, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Skanderborg is listed on Wikipedia as having 22000 inhabiters but is not on the list seems like a mismatch--90.185.19.142 (talk) 21:42, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's the number on the Skanderborg-page that is wrong. According to this database on Statistics Denmark the correct number is 13,520, as of January 1, 2007 (the most current number). The other number might have been from the old municipality, pre-Kommunalreform. I have fixed the Skanderborg-page. /AB-me (chit-chat) 20:31, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is the right source used?

[edit]

In another context i had to find some population numbers and thus looked at this page. Discovering several faults in the current list as it is based on a list of populus areas and not cities. The used list is http://www.dst.dk/pukora/epub/Nyt/2008/NR159.pdf, whereas the right one would be http://www.dst.dk/pukora/epub/upload/12429/headword/dk/13.pdf. If no-one objects loudly i will, rewrite the list within the next couple of days. KR Hebster (talk) 11:21, 5 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
