The result of the move request was: Consensus to move to List of creations of cardinals buidhe 20:06, 7 May 2020 (UTC)
List of the creations of the cardinals → List of creations of cardinals – "The" is at best redundant, and the second one at worst ambiguous: meaning the living cardinals only or all cardinals? PPEMES (talk) 11:46, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
- Move to List of promotions to cardinal. That would suffer less from confusion over whether this is a list of things that were created by cardinals. Or List of promotions to cardinal in the Catholic Church. —BarrelProof (talk) 17:35, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
- Support. PPEMES (talk) 18:04, 30 April 2020 (UTC)
- Since you were the original submitter of the RM, are you saying you support my alternative suggestion or just that you support your own proposal? —BarrelProof (talk) 00:30, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
- I'd support List of promotions to cardinals. PPEMES (talk) 08:26, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
- PPEMES, it is technically called a "creation" and often referred to as an "elevation" but I have never heard a Catholic refer to it as "promotion" so I do not understand how this manufactured term from the business world can get traction here. Pope Francis does not see it as "promotion", that much is for sure. Elizium23 (talk) 04:21, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- Good point. Then I'd stick to my original proposal. PPEMES (talk) 07:33, 2 May 2020 (UTC)
- I'd support List of promotions to cardinals. PPEMES (talk) 08:26, 1 May 2020 (UTC)

- Oppose. The current name may not be the best, but the proposed ones are worse. Elizium23 (talk) 07:16, 1 May 2020 (UTC)
- Support
eitherproposal. The current title is bad. Srnec (talk) 00:40, 5 May 2020 (UTC) - Support per nom. I don't think "promotion" is commonly used for cardinals. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:30, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
