[edit]@Texttramp: - Since you have taken and interest in this article, thought I would ask: I think the sections outside of Australia and New Zealand could be deleted, since the only (poor) source says its illegal in Polynesia/Micronesia except isolated places where women may be topless, which is not generally thought of as "social nudity".--WriterArtistDC (talk) 20:45, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
- @WriterArtistDC: I think all of these lists (this one, North America, Europe, Africa, etc.) need a lot of attention. There are so many entries without any citations or possibly even notability. The list for Europe seems completely out of control. They all need a good pruning. Texttramp (talk) 00:55, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
- I take that as assent with regard to this article.--WriterArtistDC (talk) 16:28, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
- Done, also added note in lead section clarifying scope of the topic as fully nude recreation. I think the problem with all the lists is that there is no criteria for inclusion. Legally nude locations, certainly, not official but isolated places with a history, perhaps. Someplace mentioned online where someone got away with being naked? No. The minimum for WP:RS would be authored articles on travel sites, and exclude individual user comments such as those in the deleted TripAdvisor citation.--WriterArtistDC (talk) 16:57, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
- There is a very good website for NZ, but not cited for individual beaches before (?). There are so many the list could be broken down by regions, as with Australia.--WriterArtistDC (talk) 19:25, 1 April 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Public nudity on beaches is generally not enforceable. This sentence means that people cannot generally be forced to be naked in public on beaches. Is this what is intended?
There have been a number of successful legal challenges to being naked in a public area... This means that people who have been naked in a public area have been successfully challenged in court. Again, is this what is intended?
There have been a number of successful legal challenges to being naked in a public area, including cycling and running, so long as there was no intent to offend. This sentence seems to run two or three ideas into one (confused) one. As it stands, it implies that a legal challenge can only be successful if there is NO intent to offend, i.e. a challenge will fail if there IS intent to offend. 118.92.65.155 (talk) 23:04, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
