[edit]I updated this page while working on populating the National museums by country category (marked as a category requested for population). I found it challenging to separate national museums from other types because so many museums have "national museum" in their title and many of the articles don't identify the supporting organization. As I work through that category, I will continue to update this list, also. My apologies if I have introduced some inappropriate museums to this list, and encourage you to correct any mistakes I have made. I always welcome feedback--I'm striving to make good edits to articles. CRKingston 03:51, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
Vatican City
[edit]Not sure why the Vatican Museums aren't considered a national museum considering that they are run by a national government? This isn't the place to question the legitimacy of Vatican City as a nation-state. @Borgenland 70.176.221.156 (talk) 19:45, 2 September 2024 (UTC)
