[edit]This is going to be separated to shorter articles but I wait until it is done in Hungarian Wikipedia. Alensha 14:04, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I was going to recommend you make a new page called "list of least populated places in Hungary" and add all the places with under 25 inhabitants to it (There are at least 5), thereby making this list shorter. Adding the villages to another list, or breaking this list up by letter may also work. Also, I don't know Hungarian, but wouldn't importing this list to the Hungarian Wikipedia merely involve translation of the column headings? --204.111.140.168 (talk) 06:39, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
HELP!
[edit]I moved this page a few minutes ago. Then, I tried moving the botoom into a separate article List of cities, towns, and villages in Hungary (N-Z), but the computer appeared to freeze. Anyone know what to do?? Georgia guy 23:54, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
Date?
[edit]Population data are not very useful unless we know when they were valid. This information is missing from this page. There have been some changes in the post codes as well. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gaborgulya (talk • contribs) 22:01, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
I have made several templates to help here. I and the missus have translated many articles from Hungarian, added for example {{Infobox Hungarian settlement}}
and {{Magyar település infobox}}
and about a dozen of others in Category:Hungarian geographical name conversion templates. We know where we are and it is not perfect. It is just better. Si Trew (talk) 07:22, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
Can't trust the pop figures
[edit]So, apparently Abony has a population of 15 814 2740, which is about half as much again as the whole of Hungary. These population figures are entirely useless. Where did they come from? Besides being agaoinst WP:MOSNUM (cos the thousands are spaced rather than commad), the numbers are just ridiculously meaningless. Abony is not the only example there. Ács apparently has 7 255 2941 people, Acsa has 1 528 2683, and on and on and on (I just started at A). I actually have edited Abony and Acsa (not Ács) and I would doubt those figures, basically a village will not have millions of people. What has gone wrong here? - I think I fixed this, or someone did on my request (User:RichFarmbrough probably). The problem was with the formatting, not the numbers themselves since it was running in the postal code with the population. The populatio is still often wrong, and I am not sure what to do about that: Ideally if the article is linked and has an infobox, the data can be scraped from there. Size split?
[edit]Support - Article is over 100 kB and should be split. Thoughts?--Jax 0677 (talk) 20:51, 9 December 2012 (UTC)
