SoCal Val

When did she start becoming the valet for Lethal? I know that's where the storyline is going, but I have yet to see her escort him to the ring. Of course, I haven't seen the latest PPV, did she escort him then? If she hasn't yet, then why is she listed under valets? Someone let me know please. --James Duggan 01:25, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Austin Creed

He Debuted as part of Team Pac Man, when they lost the belts to Tomko and Styles. He then was pulled off the air as Pac Man and Ron Killings both left. So shouldn't he just be listed as Inactive Talent right now, not as yet to debut? LessThanClippers (talk) 18:27, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

I'm not sure. I don't believe he was contracted when he appeared with Team Pacman, it was more of a trial match. He did well, so they signed him. But is there even a source that is now contracted? Gavyn Sykes (talk) 22:16, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
WrestleZone reports he wrestled in a Dark Match with Sonjay Dutt against Hoyt & Rave before last night PPV. Of course, that could be because he is from the area. --James Duggan 22:30, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Article Name Change

Can a name for this article be agreed upon? It is ridiculous that the name changes daily! The same thing is happening to the WWE Roster page. See Talk:List of current World Wrestling Entertainment employees. (72.86.84.121 (talk) 21:42, 3 May 2008 (UTC))

New wrestlers

Question 1:

With all of these guys coming in for the World X Cup, should they be included on the active roster?

If a source can be found that they actually are signed to a contract and not working on a by-apperance basis. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 18:36, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

If they can't be added to the main roster, could they be given a special category of their own due to the World X Cup?

Vjmlhds June 13, 2008 21:50 (UTC)

Question 2:

Should Karen Angle be added to the active roster now that she (kayfabe) signed an "official TNA Knockouts" contract? This new contract was signed so Kurt couldn't lay a hand on her, but it also makes her open season for the other knockouts (as evidenced by Kong's attack).

Vjmlhds June 13, 2008 18:21 (UTC)

They just said "official contract." Val has a contract and never wrestles. Karen's new kayfabe contract (since she was obviously signed prior in real life) is likely the same. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 18:36, 13 June 2008 (UTC)

The reason I asked about Karen is because this could be seen as similar to Armando Estrada on ECW, who was brought in as GM and signed himself to a wrestler's contract.

I think Val is different because it was specifically stated that Karen signed a "TNA Knockouts" contract, and Val is considered as merely a ring girl who is engaged to Jay Lethal.

World X Cup Teams

I wasn't actively editing when the last X Cup occurred so I was wondered will we be adding the teams to the stables and tag teams section with The Machineguns and Team 3D like Team Japan and Team TNA? I would agrue that they should be added until the X Cup ends as technically the list is active tag teams and stables in TNA (defined as those appearing on iMPACT!). I submit to the rest of the project that these X Cup teams are just that. 69.182.87.136 (talk) 07:50, 18 June 2008 (UTC)JakeDHS07

Daivari

Why is he on the Main Roster, he's only there for the X Cup. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.27.26.30 (talk) 22:22, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Maybe after all the members on each team have been announced.--Will

C 07:54, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Announced as in on TNA Television because we already know that Team USA is Shelly, Sabin, Curry Man, & Kaz. Team Mexico is Ultimo Guerrero, Averno, Bucanero, & Volador Jr. Team Japan is Milano, Doi, Yoshino, & Ishikari. Team International is Daivari, Kozlov, Dux, & Williams.

Traci Brooks

I don't think Traci Brooks should be on the inactive list. Traci Brooks worked the last set of house shows, however was not used at the Impact tapings. She works EVERY live event for TNA Wrestling. I think she should be removed from the inactive list. TNAFan1980 (talk) 01:36, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Source? Gavyn Sykes (talk) 01:49, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

You can find the results from TNA Wrestling Live Events on ANY wrestling related websites.

06-20-08: Traci & Roxxi defeated Angelina Love & Velvet Sky (Bloomington, IL)

06-21-08: Traci & Curry Man defeated James Storm & Jacqueline Moore (Danville, IL)

06-22-08: Traci & Roxxi defeated Angelina Love & Velvet Sky (Cincinnati, OH)

I think it’s silly that we rush to move people to the inactive list just because they didn’t appear on Impact, yet are still working regularly. Traci worked the three Live Events before the last set of TNA Impact tapings, but no one in TNA Wrestling has worked a TNA Wrestling related show, since because none have been scheduled. Traci is clearly not inactive.TNAFan1980 (talk) 16:34, 9 July 2008 (UTC)

Re-add him he's in the company, signed at the same time he did his World X Cup Contract. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.27.72.141 (talk) 02:09, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Somebody keeps removing him even though it was announced that he signed.--WillC 02:17, 19 July 2008 (UTC)

Active vs Inactive.

I think we should come to a consensus on what constitutes being put on the inactive list.

You know the "guilty until proven innocent" statute?

I think we need an "active until proven inactive" statute?

That is:

Unless there is documented proof as to why one should be put on the inactive list (injury, wellness suspension, etc.) that we assume that they're still on the active list.

This way there is no room for ambiguity.

Who's with me?

Vjmlhds July 20, 2008 18:48 (UTC)

Not me, if they are inactive, they are inactive. If a wrestler is not around for three months, but there was never any information about why they are not active, are you telling me you would still list them as active? -- iMatthew T.C. 18:54, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Yes, only because they just might show up the next week, and we have to put them back on the active list.

As I have been told many times, this is an encyclopedia, and that we deal in fact. For all we know, someone like Black Reign always comes to the Impact Zone and winds up sitting around twiddling his thumbs because the writers don't have anything for him.

That's not his fault if he's ready to go and they don't use him.

If there's something else afoot, and it's documented, that's different.

But if it's just because they don't want to use him, he is still part of the roster, and should be recognized as such until proven otherwise.

Move Debate

The following is a closed discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the proposal was Move. A side note, the page was moved via "cut and paste" back in May, which required a history merge, so the history since then might be a little confused if you're searching for a specific edit. Parsecboy (talk) 16:00, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

The WWE roster page is now located at list of World Wrestling Entertainment employees. As this is the same type of article and the template has been set I move for this page to be moved to list of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling employees or move the WWE one to include the current part. They should match is what I am saying. To be consistent. JakeDHS07 19:59, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Check why the WWE one was changed first. Take this to WT:PW.--WillC 20:01, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

The WWE roster page is now located at list of World Wrestling Entertainment employees. Total Nonstop Action Wrestling is listed with current added. As this is the same type of article and the template has been set I move for this page to be moved to list of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling employees or move the WWE one to include the current part. They should be consistent. Thoughts? JakeDHS07 20:06, 9 August 2008 (UTC) Links: WWE- list of World Wrestling Entertainment employees TNA- List of current Total Nonstop Action Wrestling employees.

No because an outside user moved them and they made a reasonable point because "current" is a meaningless word, the other article is for alumni, not 'former'.--SRX 00:59, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
List of World Wrestling Entertainment employees would mean every employee WWE has ever had. Current makes you know that it is the current roster.--WillC 01:14, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
I don't think you understand, employee means that "they are current" workers employed by WWE. The WWE Alumni article is self explanatory and is obvious that is for alumni, who are former workers that were employed by WWE. The same with the TNA article.--SRX 01:25, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
Yes, but this isn't about the Alumni page. This is to rename the Roster pages for WWE and TNA. I believe current is better. List of WWE employees is okay but it makes you think that is is a list of all of WWE's employees over the years.--WillC 01:42, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
That is what the alumni pages is for, which is why the "current" is not needed as that is being bold. Although links to the alumni pages should be included in the respective lists.SRX 01:44, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
For what its worth I agree with SRX. Alumni is clear that is former employees. Current is not needed as it is implied both from the presence of the alumni article as well as viewing the article it is apparent that it is current employees. JakeDHS07 08:38, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Mickie Knuckles

Why is Mickie Knuckles in the alumni section and not in the Inactive section? There have been zero reports she's signed any deal with World Wrestling Entertainment as noted (and misspelled for that matter) on her own article page. Hot Stuff International (talk) 18:41, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

She was removed from the roster page on TNA.com. IPs are adding she went to WWE. But she isn't with TNA at the moment. Remove the WWE stuff.--WillC 20:44, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Table format

I want everyone to know I'm working on this article to switch it to table format. I have for a few months but been slow at sourcing it. I'll switch it to table format after everything that is happening with the WWE roster is fixed. Ips and other users want to change it back to the old way and I would rather not have an edit war on this page so I'm going to wait to finish it and place it in here after that is sorted out and people are okay with the new format. When I do introduce my finished product I'm going to take it to FL so please if anyone has any problems talk about them here and not undoing everything. Edit warring is against the criteria.--WillC 21:53, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

Name organizing

I think the table should be organized as "Last name (A.J. Styles) and Ring Name (Booker T or Curry Man). Having Curry Man in the "m" section is not the best way of organizing. Since his ring name starts with c, he should be placed properly in the "c" section, and man is not his last name. Same goes with Brother Ray and Brother Devon, Ray and Devon is not their last names, but part of their ring name, which both should be placed properly in the "b" section. Who else agrees?

--NickSparrow (talk) 19:49, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

I disagree. They should all be categorized by the first letter of their second name, either it be a last word of a ring name or just a plain last name. It keeps consistence, which is something this page has yet learned to do.--WillC 19:54, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

I agree with NickSparrow, why confuse people by having Curry Man in the M section, Shark Boy in the B section, etc. The Jay Experience 21:53, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

For consistency. Either they be categorized by last name of their ring name or they be categorized by their first name of their ring name. Either way it must be consist. The WWE page has chosen to be categorized by the second word of their ring name.--WillC 04:22, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
I agree with JayExperience. Its to complicated under your format or organization. I think to fix the problem to where both sides are happy is just organize by whatever their first letter is (may it be their name or ring name). Abyss, A.J. Styles, Booker T, Curry Man, etc. Until then, you should honor my and Jay's viewpoints, as its everyones page, and unless we get get some people against my proposal, a new consensus should be voted on it. Fair is fair?

--NickSparrow (talk) 04:41, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

It should be taken to the WT:PW then. This decision also effects the WWE roster page. The discussion should take place at that talk page or WT:PW since this one does not get enough attention.--WillC 04:45, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Complaints

If you have a problem with changes made to this page or would like something changed in it please state it here to prevent edit warring. As in how wrestler names should be categorized. Should Booker T be in the "B" or in "T" section is an example. It would be much appreciated.--WillC 19:52, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

- this page is messed up...i mean what's with all the references to everyone?

  • my idea is that remove the references of the Male, Female Wrestlers and Other On-Air Talent but keep the references for Corporate Management because not much is known who exactly works on the Corporate side of the company also for the section of people who just signed with the company then the page wouldnt look soo messy. - Spike7000 7:47, 20 November 2008
The references must stay. Without references the article falls under original research. Everything must be sourced or it is not allowed to stay in the article. A source must be presented for everyone. The references can be moved to the notes section of the table if people want.--WillC 04:20, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

Considering Booker T is not a full name and just a ring name i think it should be in the B section, whereas if it was James Storm for example he should be in the S section because he uses a ring name with a surname, same goes for Kurt Angle, who uses his real name in the A section. The Jay Experience 01:28, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

You've tried this once before, and you were blocked for trying to turn the vote it your favor and for the 3RR. It was decided on per a vote, and because it did not go the way you wanted it too does not allow you to do whatever you want by removing images and trying to restart the vote when a good amount of time has not passed. There are around four or five editors who don't like it. It was voted on 14 to 2. Even with the ones that don't belong to the project removed it was still 7 to 2. After a good amount of time has passed can there be a re-vote.--WillC 03:10, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Hector Guerrero

I had to change this since whoever had his real name as Hector Llanes doesn't know Mexican naming conventions. Guerrero is his paternal surname, while Llanes is his maternal surname.
