• Q: Why are only a limited amount of characters represented in the table? The series have had more characters appear than the numbers represented in the table.
  • A: The ABC and young adult series tables include characters who have appeared in one of the series as a member of the main cast or as a guest star in multiple series. The Netflix table includes all characters that have appeared in at least one season in one of the following roles: As a part of the principle ("main") cast; as a recurring character, defined here as appearing in 4 or more episodes of a season, or 4 or more episodes across the entire series; or if the character has also appeared in a previous Netflix series season – this is done to highlight the shared nature of the Netflix series.
