Old Routes

Page move

[edit]

I don't wholeheartedly agree that the page needed moving in the first place; I feel that tacking Washington on the end is tacky and doesn't help at all. Taking a look at the Metro#Public_transport and Metro Transit articles, there are no other transit agencies named "King County Metro". Skimming through Google results also seems to confirm this. ~ Atomic Taco (talk) 01:05, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Routes that Continue

[edit]

I'd like to add a signfier when a bus route continues on as another, typically through downtown. These include the 10-12, 11-125, etc. Not sure where would be a concise place in the page to include this. Potentially as a referece with a link to the other route on the page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ryandwayne (talkcontribs) 21:53, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Route 6

[edit]

When was it discontinued?

Around 1999. Metro deleted it in an effort to boost frequency, at the expense of some coverage. Here's a good STB article on the history: https://seattletransitblog.com/2011/11/02/aurora-a-case-study-in-frequency-versus-coverage/ --RickyCourtney (talk) 00:01, 19 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I found the route on the archive of the page.

Draft (sources missing):

@Alexlatham96: The list will not survive speedy deletion, or one of the other deletion processes, especially if you insist on not citing your information (and no, previous revisions are not cite-able). Please consider reading the Notability guidelines. SounderBruce 01:35, 9 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I put it on hold for now until sources are found. Will complete later, yet I added some sources at least.Alexlatham96 (talk) 01:45, 9 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
New problem: Cannot find the 2011 route list.Alexlatham96 (talk) 17:32, 10 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I cited the sources!!! Yet the list still needs completion. For example, where was the first 23, first 29, first 30, first 32, first 47, first 49, 52, etc.? See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Alexlatham96/List_of_Former_King_County_Metro_bus_routesAlexlatham96 (talk) 03:03, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You would need secondary sources (aka non-Metro sources) to satisfy the general notability guidelines. The list is still not notable enough to stand on its own and is better off on a fan-wiki like the CPTDB. SounderBruce 03:11, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
