Wildrose
[edit]Since I know this is going to be an issue on election night, I am going to start the discussion now. Please note how wide the table already is. To prevent the table from getting any wider, only parties that have won seats three times have a column. Meaning that after the 2012 election, (if you include the Alberta Alliance win in 2004,) the Wildrose Party would have only done it twice. Which is why I am saying that the Wildrose should only get a column if they win the election. 117Avenue (talk) 23:26, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
- And if Wildrose becomes the Official Opposition, what then? – Jwkozak91 (talk) 23:43, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
- Impossible, that party was never registered. But if you mean the Wildrose Party, their number would be in the other column, like 1940. 117Avenue (talk) 01:53, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
This graph just looks silly. The Official Opposition Party is "Other". I'm not a supporter, but they are a major successful political movement and that should be reflected here, until they merge and cease to exist in the next election. The Unity Party of 1940 was a platform-less group of independents. This is kind of different, isn't it? Jaydub99 (talk) 23:23, 10 March 2017 (UTC)
Updating
[edit]I'm assuming also the list has not been updated yet as we are waiting for official results. I've created a replacement graph in Wikimedia commons. Following the pattern of past years, Wildrose fits in the "Other" column. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jgnat (talk • contribs) 21:56, 6 May 2015 (UTC)
- I asked somebody else to update this figure, but seeing as you have, I'm going to go ahead and move this over to the main article. Sidenote: I think a separate discussion on a separate column for Wildrose needs to be held at some point. Basically, I think if they win seats in the next Alberta election as well, then a column will need to be created for them (possibly at the expense of the 'Legislature' column, which could probably be excised from the table without too much fuss...). --IJBall (contribs • talk) 18:34, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
